DFW window replacement

Stop payingto cool the street.

Old and builder-grade windows are the largest single heat load in most North Texas homes. Low-E replacement glass blocks the heat before it is inside — every opening measured individually, because no two are the same size.

  • Every opening measured on site
  • Custom-fabricated to fit
  • Most houses finished in 1–2 days
  • Trim finished and cleaned up

What we see on Texas homes

Your windows may be the most expensive thing in the house

Old and builder-grade glass leaks money in every season, and the symptoms rarely look like a window problem. Six of them, and what is really going on behind each.

A room that will not cool down

West- and south-facing rooms that stay hot whatever the thermostat says are almost always a glass problem rather than an air conditioning problem.

The air conditioner never switches off

All afternoon your AC is fighting radiant heat coming straight through the glass. Low-E replacement glass cuts that load by up to 25%, and the bill shows it.

Drafts along the frames

Cold air in January and hot air in July means a seal, a frame or the original installation has failed, and the air you paid to condition is going outside.

Floors and furniture fading

Ultraviolet light through single pane and older double pane bleaches hardwood, rugs and upholstery a little more every year. Low-E glass blocks 95%+ of UV.

The street, indoors

Traffic and neighborhood noise coming through all day is an insulation problem in the glass. Modern units cut sound transmission sharply.

Mismatched windows on the front of the house

Old or odd windows read as deferred maintenance to a buyer standing at the kerb. New ones are among the better-returning exterior upgrades you can make.

What we do about it

Glass chosen for Texas heat, cut for your openings.

We install replacement windows with a Low-E coating and a low SHGC — the number that describes how much of the sun’s heat the glass lets through. A low one keeps the infrared outside and the daylight inside, which is exactly the trade you want on a west wall in August. Every opening is measured on its own and the unit is built to that measurement.

We do the whole installation: old units out, the opening sealed and flashed properly, trim finished, and the site cleaned before we leave. Most houses are finished in 1–2 days.

What you get

  • Up to 75% less heat through the glass than single pane
  • Heating and cooling costs down by 10–25%
  • Drafts gone, and rooms that hold an even temperature
  • 95%+ of UV blocked, so floors and furniture stop fading
  • Noticeably less noise from the street
  • A front elevation that looks looked-after, which buyers price in
  • Vinyl or fiberglass frames that need nothing but cleaning
  • Manufacturer warranty on the units, plus ours on the installation

How it runs

From the tape measure to the last piece of trim

Four steps, and the fabrication lead time is stated up front so nobody is guessing at a start date.

  1. 01

    Measured in your home

We measure every opening individually. Houses settle and openings move — no two in the same wall are reliably the same size, and assuming they are is how a window ends up shimmed and caulked into place.

  2. 02

    Choosing the unit

Style, frame material and glass package, matched to which way the wall faces and what you want to spend. A west elevation and a north one do not need the same glass.

  3. 03

    Built to your measurements

Your windows are manufactured to the exact sizes we took. Fabrication typically runs 2–3 weeks, and we give you the date rather than a vague window.

  4. 04

    Installed and finished

Old units out, new ones set, sealed and flashed, trim finished and everything cleaned up. Most houses take 1–2 days.

What it costs

What replacement windows cost in Dallas–Fort Worth

Priced by the project rather than by the window, because the per-unit figure moves with size and glass package.

These are ranges for the DFW market, published so you can size the decision before you call. They are not quotes.

A handful of windows (5–8)

$2,500–$5,500

Targeted replacement — the worst offenders in the house, or units a storm took out.

Mid-size house (10–14)

$5,000–$9,000

A whole-house replacement on a 2,000–2,800 sq ft DFW home. The cost per window is at its best around this size.

Larger house (15–20)

$8,000–$14,000

Full replacement on 2,800–4,000 sq ft homes, picture windows and sliding doors included where they are needed.

Whole house (20+)

$12,000–$22,000+

Bigger homes, and houses with oversized, specialty or shaped openings. All trim and finishing work included.

*Ranges cover standard vinyl or fiberglass units with Low-E glass, installation and interior trim, and they are not a quote. Custom sizes, upgraded frames and shaped openings cost more. Per window, expect roughly $350–$900 depending on size and glass package.

Questions we get asked

Frequently asked questions

Everything worth knowing before you book the walk-through.

How much will new windows actually take off my bill?
Typically 10–25% of your heating and cooling cost, depending on what you have now, how big the house is and which way it faces. Texas homes still on single pane or early double pane see the biggest change.
Which glass is right for a Texas house?
Low-E coated, double or triple pane, with a low SHGC. SHGC is the fraction of the sun’s heat the glass lets through — the lower the number, the less of an August afternoon ends up in your living room, and you get that without the room going dark.
How long does the installation take?
A house with 10–20 windows is usually a 1–2 day job. Each opening takes 30–60 minutes. We clean up as we finish each elevation rather than leaving it all to the end.
Do buyers actually pay for new windows?
Window replacement sits consistently near the top of the return-on-investment lists, and in a market where cooling costs are a running conversation, buyers here understand what Low-E glass is worth.
What are the frames actually made of?
Vinyl, fiberglass, aluminum-clad and wood-clad. Vinyl is what most Texas homeowners choose: it costs less, it insulates well, and it needs nothing done to it after the day it goes in.

Cooler rooms, a quieter house, a smaller bill.

The in-home measurement is free, and every opening gets measured. Most whole-house installations are finished in 1–2 days. Units are fabricated to your openings, not trimmed to fit on the day. Manufacturer warranty on the glass, ours on the installation.
