What we see on Texas homes

A roof usually fails quietly first

Hail does not announce itself, and by the time a stain appears on a ceiling the water has been moving through the decking for months. These are the six things Dallas–Fort Worth homeowners ask us to look at most often.

Hail and wind damage

Texas hail bruises a shingle without breaking it. From the driveway the roof looks fine; from the deck you can see the mat is crushed and the granules are gone. Most policies cover storm damage, and most give you a limited window to report it.

Stains on a ceiling

A brown ring on drywall or damp insulation in the attic is the end of the story, not the beginning. Water that has reached the inside has usually been getting past the decking for a long time.

Shingles curling, cracked or gone

Shingles that lift at the edge or split across the face have lost the flexibility that keeps them sealed down. Every gap is bare decking waiting for the next storm.

Cooling bills climbing every summer

A roof and attic that cannot breathe hold the day’s heat all night. Your air conditioner runs longer to fight it, and you pay for that every month.

A roof 15+ years old

Most asphalt roofs in Texas last 15–20 years. Replacing one on your schedule costs less, and goes better, than replacing it the week after it fails.

A sale coming up

Buyers and their inspectors find an old or damaged roof in the first ten minutes. It kills contracts or comes straight off the price, so it is almost always cheaper to deal with before the listing.

What we do about it

One company from the first look to the last nail.

We start with a free inspection and a photographed report that is yours to keep. If there is storm damage, that report is what your carrier’s adjuster works from. After that we price the job in writing, walk you through shingle options, pull the permit, strip the old roof, check the decking, install, and haul every scrap off the property before we leave.

One project manager carries the whole job — the same person who wrote the estimate is on the roof during the tear-off and on the final walk-through with you.

What you get with us

  • Storm damage assessed and photographed for your insurance claim
  • Most full replacements finished in 1–2 days
  • Impact-resistant shingle grades available, for a better insurance rate
  • Permits pulled and inspections booked by us, not by you
  • The property swept and every piece of the old roof hauled away
  • Written warranty terms on everything we install

How it runs

From the first look to a finished roof, in days

Four steps, and you know before we start what happens at each one.

  1. 01

    Free inspection

We get on the roof, work every slope, and photograph what we find — damage included — so you hold the documentation before you talk to anybody about it.

  2. 02

    A written, itemised price

You get the scope line by line, with material options and a timeline, before anything is approved or ordered.

  3. 03

    Choosing the material

Standard architectural shingle, impact-resistant grades, or metal. We tell you which one suits your pitch, your budget and your policy — not which one carries the best margin.

  4. 04

    Tear-off and installation

The old roof comes off, the decking gets checked, the new roof goes on to code, and the site is cleaned. Most homes are done in 1–2 days.

What it costs

What a roof costs in Dallas–Fort Worth

Typical figures for DFW homes. The number moves with the size of the roof, its pitch, the material you pick and — on a storm job — what the carrier approves.

These are ranges for the DFW market, published so you can size the decision before you call. They are not quotes.

Storm repair, partial section

$2,000–$6,000

Patching hail or wind damage on isolated slopes, usually paid by the carrier. The right call when the rest of the roof still has years in it.

Standard asphalt replacement

$8,000–$14,000

A full replacement on a 2,000–2,500 sq ft home in quality asphalt shingle. The most common job we do in DFW.

Larger home replacement

$14,000–$22,000

Full replacement on 2,500–3,500 sq ft homes, including impact-resistant shingles for a better insurance rate.

Metal or premium roof

$18,000–$40,000+

Standing seam or steel, with a 40–50 year life. It costs more the day it goes on and less over every year you own the house.

*Ranges for typical Dallas–Fort Worth roofing work, not a quote. What you pay tracks the pitch of the roof, its square footage, the material you choose and, on a claim, the scope the carrier approves. Book a free inspection for a real number.

Questions we get asked

Frequently asked questions

Everything worth knowing before you book the walk-through.

How many days will my house be a building site?
Most houses are stripped and reroofed in 1–2 days. A large or complicated roof can run to 2–3 days. We clean the property at the end of every day we are on it, not just at the end of the job.
Do you deal with the insurance company for me?
We document the damage, put the report together, and meet your adjuster on the roof so you are not translating between two trades. What we are not is a public adjuster — we do not negotiate your settlement, and we will tell you that rather than imply otherwise.
What do you actually install?
Asphalt shingle, including impact-resistant grades, and metal. At the estimate we tell you which one suits your roof, your budget and your policy, and we will talk you out of an upgrade that does nothing for your house.
Do I need a whole new roof, or can this be repaired?
It comes down to the age of the roof, how much of it is affected, and whether a repair buys enough years to be worth doing. If a repair is the right answer you will hear it from us, in writing, with the reasoning.
What happens to the yard and the gutters during a tear-off?
Beds get tarped, the dump trailer goes where it will not crack your drive, and we run a magnet over the grass and the street before we leave. Gutters take a beating in a tear-off — if yours are already failing, replacing them in the same visit costs less than booking it as a separate job.

Let us look at it before the next storm does.

The inspection is free, and nothing is attached to it. We photograph the damage and write it up for your claim. Storm damage to a roof is usually covered by a homeowner’s policy. Most inspections happen within 48 hours of your call.
